Privacy Policy
This site collects as little as possible, and what it does collect is used to reply to you. Here is the detail.

Who this policy is from
This website is operated by L & J Process Servers, an independently owned business based in Gulfport, MS 39503. Throughout this policy, “we” and “us” mean L & J Process Servers.
If you have a question about anything here, contact us by phone on (228) 263-0259 or by email at info@ljprocessservers.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you complete the request form or the enquiry form, we receive the details you type into it. Depending on the form, that is your name, email address, phone number, the city and ZIP code relevant to the job, the service you are asking about, any date or appointment details you supply, and whatever you write in the free-text fields.
We also receive whatever you choose to tell us when you call or email. We do not ask for more than we need to answer you.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address the request came from, the time, and the page requested. This is ordinary web server activity and is used for security and for keeping the site working.
To limit repeated automated submissions, our form endpoints keep a short-lived count of recent submissions per connection. The IP address is converted to a one-way hash before it is used for this, so the original address is not retained for that purpose.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not embed third-party scripts that profile you. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What we do not collect
- Documents. There is no document upload on this website. Please do not attempt to send legal documents, scans or attachments through any form here. Document handover is arranged directly.
- Payment details. No card or bank details are collected through this website, and no online payment is processed here.
- Special category information. We do not ask for health, financial or similar sensitive details in any form on this site. Please do not include them in free-text fields.
How we use what you send
We use the information you send in order to:
- respond to your enquiry or service request, including sending one confirmation email with your reference to the address you give;
- confirm whether the location falls within our service area and whether the job can be taken;
- arrange and carry out work you go on to instruct;
- keep the records we need to run the business properly.
We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list. We do not pass your details to lead-generation networks or to other process servers looking for work.
Who else sees it
We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small. A form submission passes through:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers this website is delivered from;
- Our email delivery provider, which transmits your submission to our business inbox and sends your confirmation email;
- Our email provider, where the message is then stored.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or by a court or regulator with authority to require it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept only as long as is useful for answering them and are then deleted. Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept for as long as we need them for business, accounting and legal purposes, and are then deleted.
The short-lived rate-limiting counts described above are held in memory only and expire within minutes.
Keeping it secure
This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on our server, and the endpoints are rate limited and screened for automated submissions. The content of a submission is not written to our server logs. Access to the business inbox is restricted to the owner.
No system is perfectly secure, and email in particular is not a confidential medium. If something is genuinely sensitive, call instead of typing it into a form.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on (228) 263-0259 or at info@ljprocessservers.com and we will deal with it. Where we have to keep certain records to meet a legal or accounting obligation, we will tell you that rather than quietly ignoring the request.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging business or legal matters. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately.
