Terms of Service
What this website is, what it is not, and the terms that apply when you ask L & J to carry out work.
Last updated September 22, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any request for service you submit through it. The website is operated by L & J Process Servers, based in Gulfport, MS 39503. By using the site you accept these terms.
2. What L & J is
L & J Process Servers is a document delivery, process serving and mobile notary service. It is an independently owned business.
L & J is not a law firm. Nothing on this website and nothing said in the course of arranging or carrying out work is legal advice. Using this site or instructing us does not create an attorney-client relationship, and no such relationship can arise from it.
Questions about whether service is required in your matter, what method applies, what a deadline is, what a document means or what signing it will do are questions for an attorney or for the court handling the matter.
3. Information on this website
The descriptions of services, documents and processes on this site are general background so you can recognise what you are dealing with. They are not a statement of what any particular case requires, and requirements differ between matters and jurisdictions.
We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that every detail is complete or up to date at all times. Where the site and a direct conversation with us differ, the direct conversation governs.
4. Requests are requests, not accepted work
Submitting the request form, sending an email or leaving a message does not create a contract and does not mean the job has been accepted. Work begins only once we have confirmed with you:
- that the location falls within the service area we can cover;
- what the work involves and what its limits are;
- what documentation, if any, will be returned to you;
- the fee and how payment is to be made.
Until you have that confirmation, please do not assume a deadline is being met. If something is urgent, call rather than relying on a form.
5. Service area
L & J serves Harrison, Hancock, Jackson, Stone, Pearl River, George, Forrest, Lamar, Perry, Marion and Jones counties, subject to availability. The cities and counties listed on the service area page are the areas we publish as covered. Coverage of any specific address is confirmed on a case-by-case basis.
6. What we need from you
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you give us, including names, addresses, deadlines and the documents themselves. We work from the information you supply. If it is wrong or incomplete, the outcome will reflect that, and additional work may be required.
You confirm that you are entitled to instruct us in relation to the documents you provide, and that asking us to deliver or serve them is lawful.
7. No guaranteed outcome
We do not guarantee that any particular attempt will be successful, that a named person will be located, or that work will be completed within a particular period. What we undertake is to carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill, and to give you an honest account of what happened.
8. Documents
This website does not accept document uploads. Do not attempt to submit legal documents, scans or attachments through any form on this site. Document handover is arranged directly once a job is confirmed.
How documents are returned, retained or disposed of after a job is agreed with you as part of that job.
9. Fees and payment
Fees depend on the work involved and are quoted for your specific job before work begins. No fee schedule is published on this site.
Charges are in US dollars unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Payment is arranged directly with us. No online payment is processed through this website, and no card details are collected here. If online payment is introduced in future, it will be handled by a payment processor and these terms will be updated before it goes live.
10. Acceptable use of this website
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or automated form submissions, or attempt to overwhelm the forms or the site;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
- use the site or our services for any unlawful purpose, including harassment of any person;
- copy, scrape or republish material from this site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
11. Intellectual property
The L & J Process Servers name, logo and the design, text and graphics of this website belong to L & J Process Servers or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use in dealing with us. Any other use requires our written permission.
12. Links to other sites
Where this site links to another organisation, that link is for convenience only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied to us, from a document being unavailable or incorrect, or from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Privacy
Information you send through this website is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, and the courts of Mississippi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
17. Contact
